Valley native Ed O'Neill, star of the hit shows 'Modern Family' and 'Married...With Children,' has released a series of short videos endorsing Senator Sean O'Brien for re-election to the Ohio Senate.
O'Neill was born and raised in the Mahoning Valley.
"Re-elect Sean O'Brien for State Senate. Sean's been fighting for the Valley in Columbus. He deserves your vote," O'Neill states in one video.
"I think he's my cousin," he jokes in another.
The videos will run as digital ads to voters in Ashtabula, Trumbull, and parts of Geauga County over the coming weeks.
"I've spent my time in the Senate fighting to bring new jobs to our area. I'm working with companies like GM, LG Chem, TJX, and Petmin to bring in thousands of new, good-paying, union jobs," said Senator Sean.
"I need your support to keep this seat so I can keep fighting for you."
Senator Sean faces a tough re-election fight this year. The Republican Party knows he has a long record of successfully bringing good-paying jobs to the Valley -- so they recruited someone with the last name O'Brien to try and confuse voters.

Senator Sean represents Ohio Senate District 32, which includes Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties, as well as portions of Geauga County. Senator Sean previously served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives.
